Sam's tools were stolen out of his locked truck that was parked in our driveway. Please help us replace them.
Northland
Tuesday afternoon was pouring with rain so Sam was lucky enough to have half a day off. This allowed him the pleasure of picking up his kids from school and kindy. Something both our girls love as it doesn't happen very often. Dispite the rain, it was still a hot and muggy day so we all decided to go to the park and have an ice cream. We took my car and left Sam's parked and locked in our driveway.
Fast forward to Wednesday morning and Sam's back at work. Goes to get his Makita drill and driver set out of the back of his truck only to discover they are gone.
Those that have known Sam for a long time will know that this is not the first time his tools have been stolen. The first was back in 2008. His car with $2,500 worth of tools inside was stolen from outside his flat, never to be seen again. Unfortunately, car insurance doesn't include the tools inside so it has taken him 10 years to build his kit back up only to have a few, most useful, tools to be take again.
This is devistating for us as a family as those tools are part of our livelihood. And as I'm studying, it puts a strain on us to replace them and all the little bits that go with it, drill bits etc.
As there is no evidence or camera footage to catch the theives, it is highly unlikely we will see them again. Anyone in the trade will also tell you that to replace them via insurance is near impossible and not worth the fees.
Sam is never one to ask for help but will always find the time to help others. I even feel funny doing this! But please, if you wouldn't mind helping us, we would greatly appreciate every little bit.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
I decided to set up this page for Sam as he deserves something good out of this terrible situation.
Sam needs to replace the drill and driver set and drill bits. If, by chance, our target is exceeded Sam would like to upgrade his set to include more 18v power tools.
