17 year old student accepted into Future Leaders Academy in Samoa (Oct. 2023) needs help fundraising
Carterton, Wellington
Kia Ora, I’m Sarah Peters a year 13 day girl at Solway College in Masterton. I have always been passionate about helping people. My desired career path is law, and I'm currently working part-time at a law firm in Carterton. I have always had a love for justice, equality, writing, and impartiality. I believe that a career in law will allow me to make a positive impact on society by defending the rights of those who cannot defend themselves. I am excited to continue my education next year at University and pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer in New Zealand.
I was accepted into the Future Leadership Academy in Samoa. This course will help me develop comprehensive understanding of various critical leadership skills. I have been a chapel leader, and currently the Cultural and Arts Prefect at Solway College and a co-leader for SADD (Students against Dangerous Driving) and have been on the Carterton Youth Council. Over the last ten years I have volunteered in various community groups throughout the Wairarapa. I have also won the Ken Campion award for the most service out of all juniors at my school.
With a future in law in sight, this leadership course will be a significant step towards my goals and will help me gain a deeper understanding of different cultures and make a difference in my community. I can’t attend this course without help in raising the necessary funds. All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Annette Peters is my mother. Funds will be going to her on my behalf
All profits raised will be going towards the funds needed ($4000) for Sarah to attend the Future Leaders Academy in Samoa (Oct. 2023)
