Help Sarah Saunders and Family

$22,046 of $30,000 goal
Given by 397 generous donors in around 4 months

We want to help Sarah Saunders, after the sudden death of her husband Daryl, so she can get back to work and study.

Howick, Auckland

On 10th March, Theia’s father, Daryl passed away suddenly. Theia is only 7 years old. She has three siblings, Caitlan, Reece, and Eryn, and Mum (Sarah). They live in Botany. They are just ordinary Kiwis like you and me. Please help me help Theia and her family.

It is rare in life that one can make something better, when tragedy strikes. We can’t bring Daryl back. But if we all work together, we can help this family stay on track.

Daryl was a hard worker. He was the high school sweetheart of Sarah and they were together 24 years. They raised four lovely children together. He was the best dad ever. What more can I say?

Sarah works part-time as a youth worker with teenagers in a local college. She is trying to make a difference in her community. She is also in her final year of study to become a trauma counsellor. It is what she was made to do. But she does not have a full “breadwinner” type income right now.

We want Sarah to be able to return to her work and study. We don’t want her to stop working towards the future plans that she had made. That is what Daryl would have wanted.

So that is where you come in.

Would you consider giving to help Sarah and her family through this crisis? You can give a one-off gift to this givealittle campaign right now. But please consider if you could give a regular gift: weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, for up to one year.

With much love and hope,

Mike and Jewel Turinsky,

We have made it past 67% of our goal!  25 March 2022

It has been two weeks now, and we are making progress on the goal. Thank you to everyone who has given to this givealittle page and shared the page.

The family sincerely feels the aroha, especially from all the many gifts that have come in from everyday Kiwis that do not even know them personally. Daryl's funeral will go forward next week. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they celebrate his life together.

If you have not shared this page on your social media, please do so. We are so close to our goal, it would be a nice gift to the family to have the goal met.

Thank you for doing your part to help,

Jewel Turinsky
