Try to prevent Bella from being put down, cover my mums loss so she can afford to rehire Bella to a forever home.
Waikato
Bella also known as Ella, was sold to my 63 year old mother as a plodder great from someone to get their confidence back on. She sounded perfect!
Turns out she’s not.
She is not meant to be ridden and is a broodmare only.
She bucks and broncos if ridden and has thrown a previous experienced rider landing them in hospital.
Turns out my mum was scammed.
After many comments on Facebook the seller got in touch and agreed to a refund. However there were condititions that had to be meet.
1) No further comments or contact from the current caretaker of Bella (my mum)
2) No further comments or contact from my sister
3) The seller would only deal with my brother in law
He now claims that when he gets Bella back he will “put her down” even after many a person offering to take her from him.
My mother can not afford to keep her so we need to cover the loses. She is happy for her to go to a forever home where they understand she cannot and will not be ridden.
Help my get some of the cost back for mum so she is not completely out of pocket. We cannot in good conscience return her to a person that will unjustifiably kill her.
My mother has been scammed by a guy selling her a horse not fit for riding. He now is threatening to kill it if it’s returned.
The money will be used to cover the loss my mum incurred. She will not have a sent more. If there is more than we will donate it pay for legal fees to take this and other cases from the seller to court.
Costs 27 January 2019
We have an offer of $1000 for her so we only need to raise $1500 to cover all the loss. We understand that it cannot all be expected.
Anything over this will go to legal fees to fight any cases.
