    Day 42/84!

We are half way through observation! So far so good! He has put on weight and is eating like a horse! Climbing trees is a new favourite activity and hiding in the grass watching the flies and birds keeps him entertained for hours ❤️

He is suffering from anxiety though and his skin is still super itchy (que the 2 wake up calls in the night!!). We are trying various remedy’s from Vicki and will keep you posted.

He has outgrown his shirts but the lovely Angela is sending more! He has to wear them for his skin at the moment.

Today is the last say for his fundraiser, if you feel like helping push for our target that would be amazing 🤩 I’m hopeful we won’t need it again 🤞🏻 Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🥰 xx

So far so good! We are already a week down of our 12 week observation period.

We’ve been exploring around the farm, climbing trees and eating tons!

His skin is still super itchy so I’m a bit. Inverness about that. Luckily he seems to quite enjoy a bath and I’m still trying to find out what is causing it.

Thank you for all your continued support, Please keep sharing this page to help with his medication and ongoing blood tests. This truely has been a life saver to us ❤️

    Tonight was our last shot!

We now enter into 84 days of observation before we can be confirmed ‘cured’. There is always a chance of relapse so I need all fingers and toes crossed and good vibes and prayers sent our way please! 🤞🏻🙏🏻

Our fundraiser is still open, I’m seriously uncomfortable asking for money but at $80 an injection, someone is making a fortune out of us!! I would never wish this disease on anyone and I’m glad to be able to help future FIP Warriors fight.

Thank you for being on this journey with us team xxx 😘

    Day 92/84!

I’m feeling super emotional and beyond grateful today. I can see the fog of this virus has lifted and my boy is back ❤️

We had planned to stop treatment in 5 days when I run out, but I’m so scared of a relapse. But I’m out of funds and keeping all my fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I’m so thankful for all your donations so far, the more he gains weight, the more expensive each injection gets. Anything you can do to help, even $1 is received with love 💕

    Day 84/84!

Now I had hoped to be posting that we were done with the injections! But Bertie has other ideas and his virus is still trying to fight back.

However on the massively increased dose we are doing well! He has gained weight, is eating well and running around helping me feed the horses!

I’m going to do another 10 days at this dose and reevaluate. Due to weight gain and increased dose, each vial is almost $200 😳 (I just got another 7 vials 😩).

Please please keep sharing his fundraiser, we need all the help we can get! We’ve come so far and I’m feeling positive! Thank you ❤️

Unfortunately I don't have good news. Bertie is showing more and more neuro signs and is not gaining weight.

He is happy mostly, eating and sunbathing. But even this high dose we are now on doesn't seem to be helping the neuro signs.

Please keep him in your thoughts as he is continuing to fight. He is super snuggly but also getting quite opinionated!!

I doubt day 84 will be our last, so this fundraiser is even more important than it was before. The postage alone for the medication is $200 and at $35 a day just for the medication, this is not a cheap exercise!

Thanks team, I will post another update soon. Love Jilly & Bertie xx

Hey team, I know a lot of you are following my journey on Facebook, but I wanted to keep you all updated here too!

Bertie has been doing well, he had a couple of relapses and we have upped his dose of medication twice. Therefore we are now on double what we started on :(

This has obviously blown out our budget!

I'm super grateful for each and every one of you who has shared and donated to Bertie's medication. He is doing so well and you are also helping his vets learn more about this process and they are already excited to be able to help future cats who receive this horrible diagnosis.

Bertie is a cheeky boy, he loves the sun, naturally, playing with stones and lots of snuggles! I call him my Velcro Cat :)

    Much love

    Jilly & Bertie xx

Hello everyone! We wanted to share e good news with you! Today marks 27 injections and almost 1/3 of the way through!

We had a visit with our amazing vet, Paula, for a weigh in, skin check and blood test. The protein levels in the blood are MASSIVELY reduced!! This is a great sign! We are on the right bath to beating this thing 😻

Thank you to everyone who has shared my page and donated. No amount is small, even $1 goes a long way. Please keep sharing!!

    Love Bertie & Jilly xx

Hi Bertie here! I feel like a new man! I have so much energy and am using it to chase my Burmese brothers and climb up Mum! I can get right up to her shoulder before she even notices!

My skin is a little itchy and I’m not really enjoying the baths. Nelmac says they will stop me scratching but I’m not convinced.

Lots of love and kisses to all my fans xx

We are doing so well! Bertie’s eyes are bright, he’s alert and he is playing like a real baby! The change is incredible 😊

The injections sting a little but he is so brave. 10 down, 74 to go. I’m so proud of him.

Thank you so much to all our new donators, we love you ❤️
