We are here for our community, and without our community we cannot survive. We need your help.
Auckland
Helensville Museum, founded in 1968, was relocated to its current site on the River Reserve in 2000, and is now home to 4 built heritage buildings, a barn and an office.
We are caretakers of over 5000 artefacts and an extensive archive.
Time takes its toll on all things, and our objects are no different.
Its time to refurbish.
Work has already begun on sprucing up our decks and pathways, but all our buildings need repairs and repainting. Lights need to be upgraded to meet standards, fragile and unstable objects need proper storage, and we have recently been overwhelmed by an invasion of every museums worst nightmare, borer and silverfish.
We operate on the zest of volunteers and the generosity of our community and sponsors.
Heavy fundraising is required to get the work done, so we are asking for you, our community, to help us reach our goals.
$10,000 is the lower end of what we need, so if you can even donate time or resources, please get in touch, we really do need all the help we can get.
Donors giving $200+ can ask for their name to be included on the donor wall. Or sponsor a specific part of the project, eg, the exterior repainting of Hedley House and receive a years family membership and a plague on the wall.
