Help prolong Kathy Humphrey's life
This page is to raise funds to pay for a Keytruda treatment to help Kathy in her fight against lung cancer and extend her life.

As you probably know Kathy is suffering from lung cancer. The prognosis was not good until Colin and Kathy heard of a drug treatment called Keytruda. (Read more about Keytruda https://www.fightcancer.co.nz/about/ ).
Keytruda is extremely effective at significantly extending lung cancer sufferer's lives. The benefits vary from patient to patient. We are extreme lucky that Kathy's physiology is particular suited to respond in a positive way to Keytruda.
The bad news is that whilst Keytruda is funded for some forms of cancer Pharmac do not at this point in time fund it for lung cancer. The cost of a treatment programme is $70,551 for the drug, $39,525 for the treatment associated with the drug, giving the total cost to Kathy and Colin of $110,076.
We have set up this page to attempt to raise at least the GST portion of these costs. If we get more so much the better.
