Elvis is like a whole new dog tonight! Have not seen him be so active the whole time we've had him! Running round like a puppy, the teeth and ears being sorted has made such a difference!
Wow what a day this lil man has had! He ended up having 6 teeth out (one was fused to the bone so had to be drilled), ears cleaned, wormed, flea treated, microchipped, hair trimmed round his eyes and nails clipped! What a trooper! Hes still a bit drugged up and woozy, currently napping on my sons lap. Will be an evening with lots of love and cuddles I think.
Just a quick update to let you know the surgery went well and Elvis is ok. Will do another update later to fill you in a bit more!

I have spent the day contacting different pages and people seeing if they would like to get involved in helping Elvis. The Cats & Dogs Dinner Company have been back in touch and wanted to jump on board. They have offered to supply us 2 months of their raw pet food for Elvis to see if it can help with his skin condition. They are travelling here from Paraparaumu on Friday to come meet Elvis and let him taste a few of their flavors to see what he likes and are then going to supply us 2months supply! They are wanting to share weekly updates and photos on their page of him and if it helps with his skin condition they are going to supply his food until after our wedding! I am so humbled by the generosity of people, especially when sometimes the world doesnt seem like such a nice place! What lovely people they are, make sure to give their page a like!
I have booked Elvis in for his first follow up appointment and we are going to get the teeth out! He is booked in for Tuesday and will spend the full day there. We are currently at the 1k mark with donations and I'm overwhelmed! I knew we could do this but I never imagined we could start the treatments so fast. Will update again Tuesday night unless something else exciting happens before then. You people are amazing and I hope you get all the good karma you deserve xxx
Elvis's first evening outside of the pound started with a nice warm bath with some shampoo that should hopefully offer some relief on his skin. He loves to be picked up and held like a baby and snuggled. We set him up a warm bed in the bathroom so if he needed to go toilet it would be an easy clean up off the lino. He didn't like being on his own though and started to cry. So to not wake my son up I picked him up and we attempted to have a snooze in my lazyboy in the lounge. Eventually we ended up back in my room and he slept through the night with no issues.
I didn't want to leave him home alone while I was at work all day so I got in touch with the biggest animal lover I know, my little sister. Shes a stay at home mum and she just absolutely adored having him for the day and sent me lots of photos throughout. Heres one she sent that looks like hes smiling.
He is now currently crashed out on my lap after his big day of being loved.
Am so overwhelmed with the support people have shown with sharing the page. Elvis will so appreciate it once his teeth are out which is our first priority
