Help us save our amazing willow tree and tree house!
Dallington, Christchurch
Here at the ECCC we have managed to survive the earthquakes that decimated our area and rebuild our wonderful centre that has been serving the community since 1978. The main feature of our outdoor environment is a spectacular Willow tree with a treehouse built into it and a slide, fireman's pole and flying fox that are all accessible via the fabulous tree. Unfortunately recent storms have caused our tree to crack through part of the trunk, and whilst the majority of the tree is salvageable it has rendered the playground around the tree and the treehouse unusable as two huge limbs are having to be strapped up to stop imminent collapse. To make the tree safe we need to fundraise approximately $8000 and unfortunately due to Covid and cost of living the centre has run at a deficit for the last two years and we really don't have any spare money to repair our magnificent tree and restore the playground for the children without potentially having to make a teacher redundant which goes against what we are about as we pride ourselves on being a quality centre that has more teachers than the ministry require. PLEASE HELP US SAVE OUR HUGE MAGNIFICENT TREE THAT HAS BEEN A FEATURE since 1978
We are a small non profit early childhood centre situated next to the red zone in Dallington. We have been operating our community ece since 1978. We aim to offer low fees, support our community whilst providing quality education and care for children 0-6.
The money will go towards the arborist and repairing our amazing tree house.
Thank you so much Cassie, I hope you are all well ☺
