Please help us save Sam, he is the lifeblood to my girl. ❤️
Wellsford, Auckland
On Wednesday 8-10-2025, Sam was rushed to Vet Associates in Karaka for emergency surgery for a septic fetlock joint.
This surgery was the only thing offered to save his life, literally life or death choices.
Rebekah has owned Sam for 6 years and he is more than just a horse to us all.
He has been her solace in some very dark times.
He has been the light to guide her thru tough times.
And he has been her rock when his previous owner, a very close friend, took her own life 2 yrs ago.
Sam needs our help.
His surgery on weds night has a hefty price tag of $15000 and his insurance will only cover a portion of that.
With your help we can hopefully provide him the care he deserves so that he can continue to be the heart horse, Rebekah's soul mate, that he is.
His battle is far from over with another surgery being required, a very possible thing.
Every cent will help and we will be forever grateful to anyone who feels they can donate even the smallest amount, Rebekah needs Sam as much as he needs our help now. ❤️❤️
I'm Rebekah's mum.
This money will towards paying his vet costs and perhaps anything he needs to support him in his recovery.
Update Sunday 12-10-25 12 October 2025
The wonderful vet at Vet Associates just called with an update on Sammy. He continues to do well and in her words, is looking fabulous today. He has two more injections today and one more joint infusion tomorrow morning and a bandage change and then he MIGHT be allowed to come home. He still has a very long road ahead of him and will likely be on joint supplements of for the rest of his life but we just want him home!
Please keep him in your thoughts still, and if you can donate even a $1, it will all help Rebekah with the horrendous bill she has and that grows every day he is in the hospital.
