Help Save Tsitsi: a 17 year old orphan with Albinism in Zimbabwe Battling Skin Cancer in desperate need of urgent medical care

International

Hello everyone,

I left Zimbabwe over 20 years ago, but my heart has always remained connected to my homeland, doing what I can to help those in need.

I'm reaching out to all kind-hearted individuals out there to support a very urgent cause - Tsitsi.

Tsitsi is a 17-year-old orphan living with Albinism in Zimbabwe. Sadly, due to the lack of proper care and access to basic necessities for albinism in Zimbabwe Tsitsi has faced unimaginable challenges. She developed skin cancer and had to undergo a life-altering surgery to remove her left eye.

Now 6 months post operation, she has not received further treatment or proper wound care due to a lack of resources. Her wound has become septic, attracting flies and maggots, exacerbating her condition.

I am making an earnest appeal to any compassionate souls out there to help me raise funds for Tsitsi's critical medical treatment. She urgently needs treatment and further investigation into her condition. Sadly, new skin cancer growths are also appearing on her face, making her situation even more dire.

I want to assure you that I am committed to transparency in the use of the funds raised. I will keep you posted with regular updates on Tsitsi's treatment and medical care progress.

Every donation, will be greatly appreciated. While I can't predict Tsitsi's future, I know your support can make a world of difference to her current situation and foster a better outcome for her.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

Update March 2024  4 March 2024

Dear everyone,

I'm saddened to share the news of Tsitsi's passing. No one should have to endure what she did. If she had received medical help sooner and had access to necessary resources, her life might have been prolonged. Thank you all for your kindness, prayers, and well-wishes. The donations you gave helped cover Tsitsi's medical expenses and pain relief during her palliative care, with the remaining funds supporting her funeral arrangements. I'm forever grateful for your generosity, and I know Tsitsi appreciated each and every one of you. Let's carry forward this kindness beyond Tsitsi and continue to honor her memory. Tsitsi, you were incredibly brave and strong, a young life taken too soon before you could fulfill your wishes and dreams, words can't describe the loss. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Fly high our angel.
