    This is almost the last hurrah for this page. We would like to thank the 60+ people who have made donations towards our legal expenses. This has been a huge part of our campaign and has demonstrated how many Wellingtonians (and former Wellingtonians) support keeping the City-to-Sea Bridge. Alongside you wonderful people have been an equal number who have contributed directly into the Franks Ogilvie Trust Account. We are closing this page on 1st June, so please remind people that they have a just few more days to contribute here or they can continue to make contributions directly to Franks Ogilvie's Trust Fund.   • City-to-Sea Bidge Hearing Now Completed

    Thank you to everyone who has donated to this important legal action which unfortunately we were forced to take to stop demolition of the City-to-Sea Bridge back in January. Last week there was a 2-day hearing at the High Court in Wellington, fronted on our behalf by Barrister Tim Smith and his Junior Diana Qui. They did a wonderful job on behalf of the concerned citizens of Wellington. Our case took the whole first day, with the second day taken up by WCC's case and our submissions in reply. Justice Christine Grice was well-prepared and asked searching questions of both sides. She has reserved her decision. We are still fundraising, as these cases are costly and we don't want our legal team to be out of pocket. Please keep sharing this page!

  • Making Progress, and our Hearing is now very soon

    Thank you to everyone has donated to this page so far. We are still seeking funding, so please keep sharing with your contacts. We have decided to keep the campaign going for longer. Our Judicial Review Hearing against Wellington City Council is at the High Court on Monday and Tuesday next week, 28th and 29th April. People are welcome to come along. It's at the Wellington High Court, 2 Molesworth St, starting at 10am. We will also be out on the Bridge talking to people and with our signs up, this Sunday, 27th April. Hope to see you there!

    Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. Please share and spread the word around that we still need funds for our legal fight to save the bridge. In the meantime, the Council is now consulting on its next Annual Plan and there is the opportunity to make your views known about the City-to-Sea Bridge.   • Countdown to the Hearing

    Thanks very much for the support so far. Without the legal action, the Bridge would have been demolished by now. We are on a treadmill of evidence preparation. legal submissions, etc, now until the substantive hearing in late April. Please keep spreading the word, otherwise we may not have the bridge for much longer.
