Getting young women to the Fencing Commonwealth Games
Christchurch, Canterbury
Claire Cooper and Tamsyn Campbell are two of New Zealand's strongest and most experienced fencing athletes and both have recently been selected to represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth fencing championships to be held in London in August 2022. They have both competed in World Cups and Grand Prix's in Europe and are also representing New Zealand in Korea in preparation for commonwealths this June. They are both full time uni students with Claire now studying her masters in speech language pathology and Tamsyn studying both Sport Science and psychology. Both girls are fully self funded full time athletes who are trying their best to work to raise funds so they can make it to this competition in London.

This money will be split between Claire and Tamsyn to help them pay for team management fees, flights and the team accommodation cost
Incredible result! 17 August 2022
Thank you to everyone who has donated to help us achieve such an awesome result! Claire and I both pushed through to the top 16 and also got a solid 5th in the team result! We couldn't be happier with what we have achieved and we're hungry for the next big competition! 🤺
