Getting young women to the Asian Championships and World Championships.

Christchurch, Canterbury

Claire Cooper, Tamsyn Campbell and Sarah Spice are three of New Zealand's strongest and most experienced fencing athletes and all have recently been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2023 Asian Championships and World Championships to be held in China and Italy respectively. They have all competed in World Cups and Grand Prixes in Europe and also represented New Zealand in South Korea at last year’s Asian Championships. Claire works in education as a speech and language pathologist, Tamsyn is a full time student studying sport science and psychology, and Sarah has just moved over from the UK and is looking for a job in property. These girls work incredibly hard and are totally passionate about their sport. They are fully self funded full time athletes who are trying their best to work to raise funds so they can make it to these competitions so they can represent their country on the world stage.

Use of funds

This money will be split between Claire, Tamsyn and Sarah to help them pay for team management fees, flights and the team accommodation cost.
