The Year 13 students of Te Kura ō Te Koutu need help fundraising to attend a full immersion Spanish college in Mexico in October.
Rotorua, Bay Of Plenty
The Year 13 students of Te Kura ō Te Koutu are traveling to Mexico in October. They have been studying Spanish since Year 1 and have an awesome opportunity to attend a full immersion Spanish language college for a fortnight in Mexico. This immersion course will really help their ability to fluently speak Spanish. It will also give them the opportunity to share our Māori culture and values overseas. The students are doing lots of the mahi themselves to raise money for their flights and accommodation but need help to pay the $5,000 to attend the Spanish language college. This is a special group of 10 rangatahi who are already doing great things representing Rotorua to Aotearoa. Now let's help them represent Rotorua to the World. Any help will be hugely appreciated.
This Givealittle Page is being run by parents of the Te Kura ō Te Koutu Year 13 Students.
Funds will be paid into Tim Worrall's account who is one of the parents
The money raised will pay for the students fees to attend a full immersion Spanish college in Mexico and complete their 13 year journey to Spanish language fluency.

Kia ora whānau. The students left last night for their trip to Mexico. A massive mihi to everyone who has supported them on their Spanish Language journey by donating on this Givealittle Page. Even though we didn't quite reach our target of $5,000 we have been able to cover the shortfall so that the kids can attend the Oaxaca Language Institute. We have been humbled by the generosity of so many of you and are deeply grateful. Ngā mihi aroha.
