Help Sijo & Jisella to honor Dad's final voyage
Waikato, Thames-Coromandel District
Robin Kakkassery Ittimani arrived on a visitor visa from India to New Zealand two months ago to spend time with his son's family in Thames. During his stay, Robin created precious memories with his two grandchildren, sharing games, stories from his past, and bringing joy and laughter into their lives. However, tragedy struck on the 23rd of May when Robin felt acutely unwell, experiencing shortness of breath. He was rushed to Thames hospital, where his condition rapidly deteriorated, leading to a cardiac arrest. He was intubated at Thames and was retrieved by the ICU team to Waikato hospital. Despite valiant efforts and the unwavering support of loved ones, Robin tragically passed away in Waikato ICU on the 29th of May.
This page has been created as a plea for support for Sijo & Jisella during this incredibly challenging time. Unfortunately, Robin has no insurance cover and the funds are urgently needed to cover medical expenses in NZ and facilitate Robin's return home to India for a proper farewell and final rites. Every contribution, regardless of size, will help cover the costs of Robin's treatment and the transportation of his body back to India. Your generosity will ensure that Robin can be laid to rest with the dignity and respect he deserves, surrounded by family and friends in his homeland.
