Fundraising page set up to help Sola Power Throwing Academy recover from a recent burglary causing significant damage and items stolen
Waiwhetu, Lower Hutt
On Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (23rd of July) Shaka’s Solapower Throwing Academy was broken into. Equipment was stolen and there’s damage that he’ll now have to cover out of his own pocket. This is a place that gives so much to our community. If you can help, no matter how small, please contribute. Funds will go directly to the Sola Power Throwing Academy account.
"Shaka built his academy from nothing – transforming an old pony paddock into a space where young athletes learn discus, shot put, javelin and hammer. (You might've noticed it when driving over the train bridge by BP Waiwhetu). This place is about more than sport. It’s about giving tamariki and rangatahi a place to belong and grow." Brady Dyer, Hutt City Council Councillor.
Shaka and his crew are amazing. Let's rise together to support one of us. "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."
My children are beneficiaries of Shaka and his teams' amazing throwing support.
Funds will be spent on repair works and replacement of items stolen.
