Help Sophia Catch Her Breath

I have been living with severe obstructive and central sleep apnea for years now and would like to enlist any possible support towards purchasing a CPAP machine to improve my quality of life and projected lifespan.

Recently my apnea has gotten notably worse. My friends have noted that most nights i will stop breathing for minutes at a time recurrently throughout the night and am constantly struggling to breathe. Continuous, uninterrupted breathing has become the exception rather than the rule. Most mornings I wake up feeling like I have been punched in the face, short of breath, with numb extremities. Most mornings I wake up feeling more exhausted than before I had gone to sleep. This is effecting my focus, my clarity of thought, and is likely exacerbating other existing chronic health issues that I experience.

I have attempted all that I can to address the issue on my own. I have tried quitting smoking , fixing my sleep hygiene, losing weight, and sleeping with an air purifier. None of has made much difference. I have reached out for a referral to a sleep clinic under the public health system, but have been rejected as no clinics are currently accepting new patients on their waiting lists.

Purchasing a CPAP machine will cost between $1200-$2000. I am a little embarrassed to crowdsource funding like this, but I am presently living paycheck to paycheck and buying one outright is beyond my means. Any support that can be given towards this at all would mean the world to me.
