Help Sophie and Camryn get to the BMX World Champs!
Silverdale, Auckland
Sophie and Camryn are two passionate BMX racers from the Mountain Raiders BMX Club in Auckland. They have had a great start to the 2023/24 season so far and they have their sights set in competing at the World Champs in May 2024. This is being held in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
The girls recently competed at the North Island Titles, both achieving the goals they had set themselves- Camryn to come in the top five in her age group (nine girls), and Sophie set out to win her age group (13 girls) which is what she did!
Between now and May next year they have a full race calendar of events around the country, including South Island Titles in Christchurch and Nationals in the Hawkes Bay, as well as lots of training!
Not only would competing at the world champs be a great experience from a racing perspective, but it will also be a valuable lesson in that hard work and persistence really pay off when you set your mind to it!

Use of funds
The money will be used for airfares, accommodation, vehicle hire, entry fees to the competition etc. If we are unable to reach our goal the money will be saved for future overseas events.
