Help Sophie get to NASA !

Sophie has been given the opportunity to attend NASA Space School in 2020. She is in Year 9 at KingsWay school and excels in Maths, Technology and Science. To attend the NASA Space School will allow her to apply what she knows and to gain more in-depth information. She will participate in Cellular analysis - extracting DNA and blood cell investigations in a professional laboratory.

She will attend Wiess Energy Hall and learn about the developments in global energy supply at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. She will learn about renewable energy and building her own working renewable energy source. This all takes place at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

There will be a week attending the Astronaut Training in Huntsville where she will experience the thrill and challenges astronauts face during their training for NASA space missions.

She will have the opportunity to train like the experts. Gravity chairs, Multi Axis trainer, critical thinking and problem solving will allow her to apply her strong peer related skills and collaborative team work.

Sophie was Year 8 Scholar at School, has been selected by her Peers and Teachers to be her House leader for year 9.

We are seeking to raise the funds for her to attend by the 19th of July 2019 as this is when the deadline to attend is made.
