Help support Teddy and his family.
Manawatu / Whanganui
Their beautiful baby boy, Teddy, is only 3 weeks old and is currently fighting severe pneumonia and MRSA in Starship Hospital, Auckland.
After being in Palmerston North Hospital for 2 weeks they have been transferred for more specialised care.
Since being in Auckland, Teddy has undergone surgery to drain fluid from his lung, with doctors removing 30 mL of fluid, and he continues to receive intensive treatment. He is currently on a ventilator to help him breathe and requires 24/7 one-on-one care.
While we are so thankful he is receiving the very best care possible, we know this is only the beginning of what will be a long journey in hospital to recovery.
Jamilah has been unwell herself and has recently had surgery while they were in Palmerston North hospital (her and Teddy were in different wards) she is still recovering from her surgery.
Storm and Jamilah are doing everything they can to remain by Teddy's side during this incredibly difficult time.
Being so far from home (Palmerston North) means they are also carrying the financial burden of everyday living. They are facing the added stress of keeping up with household bills and other essential expenses.
We would love to ease some of that burden so they can focus entirely on what matters most—being there for Teddy as he fights to recover.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help relieve some of the financial pressure so Storm and Jamilah can focus on what matters most—loving and caring for Teddy.
Thanks for your support.
Jamilah and Storm are my close friends.
House Bills, travel expenses, food and any other everyday expenses that come up so Storm can stay in Auckland with his son and wife for as long as possible.
