Join us in supporting Bronté, a brave mother of two, and her family as she fights Acute Myeloid Leukemia!
Wanaka, Otago
Life can change in an instant.
One moment, Bronté was celebrating her daughter Aayla’s 4th birthday. Just four days later, she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).
At just 30 years old, our beautiful, 'firecracker' friend, loving wife, & mother of two is now facing a battle she could never have imagined. AML is a rapidly progressing cancer requiring intensive treatment to bring the disease into remission.
One week after her diagnosis, Bronté started her first round of chemotherapy at Dunedin Hospital. Her bravery, strength and optimism are a testament to the absolute fighter she is.
But, the path ahead is long, and fraught with challenges.
Now, Bronte and her family need our help.
Her husband, Shaun has taken time off work to support Bronté and care for their two children, Koby (6) and Aayla (4) adding mounting financial pressure to an already difficult situation.
Her treatment plan may also change at any time, and the full scope of the costs and post-treatment care- the regular blood tests & bone marrow biopsies are hard to fully comprehend.
Bronté deserves to see her children grow, celebrate their milestones, and continue being the mumma, wife, and hilarious slice of humanity she is. Your support—whether by donation or by sharing her story—will help give her the best fighting chance for beating AML, whilst supporting her family throughout this process.
It's truly hard to put into words how grateful the Hardy family are for your support and love.
Thank you
