Kia ora e te whānau, ngā mihi aroha ki a kōutou katoa,

I’m delighted to share with you the news of Curtis’s homecoming (12th March) after 8 months in Singapore. Curtis returns having reached NED (No Evidence of Disease), an incredible milestone which at the beginning of this journey seemed unattainable.

The obstacles were many, yet, they became tremendous measures of his spirit and strength of character. While I wish not to reflect too deeply on the obstacles I acknowledge the adversity bred Curtis’s sheer grit, faith and determination!

There is a way to go, but he has so bravely come through the worst of the storm, and we are so full of hope for his future.

Every step of the way there has been a team with us, both at home and abroad; sharing their skills, knowledge, expertise, and awful jokes. Each aspect of care given with utter devotion to Curtis and the fight.

To my whānau, my beautiful sisters, Cheryl, you are the salt of the earth, we could not have come this far without your unwavering presence and belief!

Nick, I appreciate you my friend, more than you know.

For the infinite and mysterious ways kindness has found Curtis (and I) we are so deeply blessed. For every good and generous thing, for the words of encouragement, the rainbows and faithful prayer. We love and appreciate you all.

Na te manaakitanga o te Atua i runga i a kōutou katoa,

    Arohanui rawa atu,

    C&C xxx

  • Update on Curtis.

      18 September 2020

    Hi everyone,

On behalf of Caroline and Curtis I want to update you all on how he is doing.

As some of you know Curtis didn't end up going to Germany, instead he arrived at the National Medical University Hospital in Singapore on 31st August.

He started Immuno Stem Cell therapy on 2nd September. Overall he is improving in White and T Cell regeneration and integrity. Over the next few weeks he will be doing Immunotherapy and plasma therapy.

He has tremendous strength and courage and continues to smile through it. Such a brave Warrior!

Caroline and Curtis are very grateful for your continued support.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

    xxx

It makes me smile to think that Curtis is doing so well and that he was able to have this opportunity in Singapore. I think starship must have the best team to really fight for any treatment available even if it does have a huge expense to it by the family, but like Curtis’s mum, we would do anything for our kids no matter what it takes. I am so happy this page was set up because we would all be so grateful for the help and support of any of us were in the same position.
