Curtis was living life to the full like any 6 year old boy until Mother’s Day weekend 2020 when he had a fall on his bike. It was shortly after this he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Curtis quickly went through intensive chemotherapy for the family to be told it had not worked.
He is currently having allogenic bone marrow transplant in preparation for a drug trial in Germany which will involve intensive ALLO immune cell therapy.
PLEASE HELP CURTIS ACHIEVE NED AND REACH REMISSION.
Curtis has shown nothing but immense courage and strength these last 2 months and enjoyed celebrating his 7th Birthday on Saturday with his family.
His mother needs your support! She has already gone through this with Curtis’s father Kelly who fought the same disease. Unfortunately, Kelly passed away at home the morning after Curtis’s 2nd Birthday with Curtis in his arms.
Please help this very brave boy and donate to support Curtis and his family.
Thank you very much.
Caroline, Curtis and Family xx

Coming Home - 8 days and counting! 4 March 2021
Kia ora e te whānau, ngā mihi aroha ki a kōutou katoa,
I’m delighted to share with you the news of Curtis’s homecoming (12th March) after 8 months in Singapore. Curtis returns having reached NED (No Evidence of Disease), an incredible milestone which at the beginning of this journey seemed unattainable.
The obstacles were many, yet, they became tremendous measures of his spirit and strength of character. While I wish not to reflect too deeply on the obstacles I acknowledge the adversity bred Curtis’s sheer grit, faith and determination!
There is a way to go, but he has so bravely come through the worst of the storm, and we are so full of hope for his future.
Every step of the way there has been a team with us, both at home and abroad; sharing their skills, knowledge, expertise, and awful jokes. Each aspect of care given with utter devotion to Curtis and the fight.
To my whānau, my beautiful sisters, Cheryl, you are the salt of the earth, we could not have come this far without your unwavering presence and belief!
Nick, I appreciate you my friend, more than you know.
For the infinite and mysterious ways kindness has found Curtis (and I) we are so deeply blessed. For every good and generous thing, for the words of encouragement, the rainbows and faithful prayer. We love and appreciate you all.
Na te manaakitanga o te Atua i runga i a kōutou katoa,
Arohanui rawa atu,
