Help support Dee with his dying wish - to come home to NZ and be with family

Sadly, my Uncle has been given months to live. We are asking for support to help us achieve his wish of getting him and Allan home to New Zealand to be with family.

Dee and Allan's Story so far, in their own words..............

In September 2023, we received the phone call that would alter our lives forever; Allan and I made our way to the Doctor’s office and in that stark environment we were told Allan had oesophageal cancer and any plans must be cancelled immediately. So began a series of treatments starting with a life saving 8 hour operation to remove the tumor, this was followed by weeks of intensive chemotherapy treatment. Watching my husband struggling before my eyes was at times more than I could bear wishing I could take it all away from him. He has been given the all clear and had the opportunity to ring the bell in the oncology ward to signify the end of his treatment. Miracles can happen.

However, In the following days my health took a turn for the worse and it was then they discovered rectal cancer. After fighting a hard fight, I have since been told I have months to live as the chemotherapy is no longer affective.

The only option for us now is to return home to New Zealand to be amongst family and friends to live out what time we have with those we love, living amongst beautiful people and beautiful surroundings can be healing in itself.
