Help support little Emi and her parents thru her Leukemia treatment and costs involved in travel

  • New update on Emi

This week Emi started Phase 3 of her treatment plan - Interim Maintenance day 1 was Thursday last week at starship hospital.

This phase Emi will receive blood tests every 10 days to check her levels and if they are good enough each time she will get her 2 Chemo infusions the following day, which are Vincristine & Methotrexate.

Our Nurse specialist was hoping we could do this phase at our local hospital but unfortunately we will still have to go back an forth to starship every time, so we have updated the goal on the page.

On a positive note Emi has been doing really good an her levels have all been within the normal range, that she was given the official ok (for now it may change during this phase) to go out in public again - with some strict restrictions in place of course.

So Emi has had a great time these past 2 weeks visiting some parks and having picnics with mum & dad, seeing some very friendly ducks! And making a new friend the same age as her ❤️

We have almost finished the first phase (Induction) of treatment, we have 18 days left of this one before we move into the 2nd phase (consolidation). Emi is responding well so far, we are doing chemotherapy today and some blood tests (11/1/23) and then we have a small break before her next surgery on the 19th where she will have a Lumbar puncture to check her spinal fluid for blasts and a Bone marrow aspirate done to check how everything is going after this first round of everything.

We are still in the Ronald McDonald house and are extremely greatful for them an their help, we have no eta yet on when we can go home, Emi is deffinatly missing home but she's such a little champ an Tyler & I are so incredibly proud of how she is handling everything and how brave she has been through it all.

We have a long road ahead, an will keep everyone updated on Emiya's journey through it all

  • Have increased Goal for Emi and her parents in their struggle with Emis Cancer Journey

      28 December 2022

I have increased the Goal amount to $10,000 as Emis stay in hospital could be as long as 2 to 3 months or more between starship hospital and Ronald Mcdonald house and back and forth for chemo treatments , and then ongoing hospital treatments and travel costs for 2 and a half years, she's under going tremendous stress on her little body with many treatments including intensive chemo and her rmum cannot go back to work yet while she's so sick and is with her in hospital , while dad has the long drive to Auckland from Taranaki to be with them when he can , both Emi and my daughter Dani have tested positive for COVID ,5 days ago in the hospital , so has been an awful addition to what's already going on with poor baby, the cancer journey to recovery for baby Emi is a long scary one , they still need your support , financially and spiritually , as all prayers for Emis full recovery are and will be greatfully received, all donations will go towards keeping them free of worry about costs involved in travel to and from hospital for dad , lost wages and keeping their mortgage paid and saving their home while they are in hospital, with Emi having life saving treatments, from me personally being Danis mum and Emis Nana , I thank you all from the bottom of my heart , your generosity and kindness and your empathy and real genuine care, has touched us all, and has taken some of the stress and worry of financial burden away , as this is the time to just concentrate on little Emis recovery and be by her side , as she needs her Mummy and daddy more than ever at this challenging time in her short little life , God bless each and every one of you ❤
