Help support my brother in law and sister while they overcome and bounce back from Simon big surgery removing a tumor and cancer treatment.
Nelson / Tasman
This page is to help support my brother in law Simon. Both Simon and my sister Mary are currently in Auckland while Simon underwent a big surgery to remove a cancerous tumor and some lymph nodes. They are separated from their 4 children who live with them full time and Simon has 3 other boys they spend school holidays with. This has brought a big financial crunch to them as they are both out of work while Simon has treatments and recovers from surgery. Mary has had take some time of work to help support Simon through recovery and to do house duties and look after kids. The aim of this page is to show love and support and try and make life a little more comfortable for them financially and emotionally taking away the stress this has brought upon them. Money raised will go towards every day living cost, transport cost to and from Simon appointment and just making sure they can get through that they have to until life can get near being normal again for them.
For people who dont know Simon has had cancer now 3 time in 4 years and this time has been the hardest not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well for all the family.
The first time he had it he underwent a surgery and 1 round chemo.
Second time he got it which was last year and month after they welcomed their baby boy together he had 4 rounds of chemo over period of 16 weeks.
Currently they are dealing with the 3rd time and hopefully the last.
Simon is my brother in law who was brave enough to take on my baby sister. He is a big part of our family always helping wherever can.
Help everyday living cost and transport cost to and from hospital appointment and Simon's road to recovery. Any surplus money they dont need in everyday living cost will be donated to cancer society to help families in the same situation.
