Help and support for Nathan.

Hawke's Bay

Our brother, father, son, teammate & friend Nathan has been battling a brain tumour behind his right eye. It has caused seizures & impacted his daily life. Now, it’s growing rapidly, putting his life at serious risk.

Nathan urgently needs brain surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible. He may need radiation and chemotherapy to treat what remains, with the hope of stopping it from spreading.

This will be the toughest race Nathan has ever faced.

A former NZ representative and Commonwealth Games Track Sprint Cyclist, Nathan has trained harder, pushing through pain and limits with strength and determination. But this challenge is different. It’s not about medals now. It’s about being here for his three beautiful children, aged 14, 6 and 4, who are his absolute pride and joy.

The road ahead involves weeks away from home, multiple trips between Napier, Wellington and Palmerston North, countless appointments and an uncertain recovery. Nathan will be off work for at least 6 weeks maybe longer depending on test results & future treatments.

We’re reaching out for any support you can give, a donation to help cover travel costs, living expenses and treatment-related needs, or sharing this page to spread the word. All funds raised will go toward supporting Nathan and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Every little bit helps ease the burden and allows Nathan to focus on what truly matters: healing, hope & time with his children.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

The Next Stage   11 September 2025

Nathan has now commenced his Radiation and Chemotherapy treatment in Dunedin on 9.9.25 after recovery from his Brain Tumour removal surgery.

The radiation is scheduled for 6 weeks and the chemotherapy may extend that treatment time. Nathan is very humbled by the support so far - it has enabled him to meet his travel expenses and rent so he was able to visit his children last month and keep his home for when his returns to Napier. Thank you for your continued support and love . ❤️ Nathan and family
