Support Baby Sophie’s Family and Help Give Her a Beautiful Farewell when the time comes to say goodbye.

Dargaville, Northland

On the 9th of April 2025, Reece Neho and Octaviah Jackson welcomed their beautiful daughter Sophie into the world—24 weeks too soon. Born extremely premature, Sophie has spent the last 124 days in neonatal intensive care, fighting with incredible strength and courage.

Throughout this unimaginable journey, Reece and Octaviah have never left her side. They both gave up their jobs to be with Sophie every single day, pouring all their love and energy into supporting her through every challenge. Sophie has endured more than any tiny soul should ever have to, and her parents have shown unwavering devotion and strength.

Sadly, the fight has become too much for Sophie, and she is now receiving palliative care. The family is now focused on creating precious, lasting memories with the little time they have left.

We are raising funds to help Reece and Octaviah give Sophie the peaceful and beautiful farewell she deserves. Your kindness will help ease the financial burden during this heartbreaking time and allow the family to honour Sophie with a dignified and loving goodbye.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Thank you for your compassion and support.

400 days.

It’s hard to believe our little warrior has been in hospital this long, but here we are — and she’s just had her stoma reversal. She’s doing really well. There have been a few ups and downs (as always), but overall she’s recovering like the absolute fighter she is.Home is maybe in sight, and we’re holding onto that with everything we’ve got.As you can imagine, the financial impact of such a long journey continues to put pressure on our little family unit. Through all of this, the support, kindness, and generosity from everyone has meant more than we can ever express.Whether you’ve donated, shared our story, checked in, or simply kept Sophie in your thoughts — thank you. Your support has helped carry us through some incredibly tough days, and knowing we’re not alone makes all the difference. We appreciate every bit of love sent our way as we keep moving toward the day we finally get to bring our girl home. Love Reece and Octaviah

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause. I also had a prem baby in Jan 2025 and spent just a fraction of the time you have in hospital but it felt like forever and it was very difficult, I resonate deeply with the impact this has. Praying for strength for Sophie and home for you all soon xx
