Help Xavier go to the Youth Climbing Worlds
Auckland
I'm Xavier, a 14-year-old sport climber from Auckland's North Shore, and I've been selected to represent New Zealand at the IFSC Youth World Championships in Arco, Italy this July.
I've been climbing since I was 8 years old. I'm really excited to have an opportunity to represent New Zealand and climb at a World competition.
I will be competing in Under 17 Male Lead and I just took silver in Australia at the Australian Youth National competition. Now I'm heading to the iconic Rock Master Stadium to compete with the best young climbers in the world.
As part of my fundraising and training before I go I am committing to climbing the equivalent of Aoraki / Mount Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand at 3,724 metres. I'll be posting how I'm going with this goal!
Getting there is no small feat financially, and I'm hoping to help my family with fundraising. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated and will go directly toward flights, accommodation, and competition costs. Please help me fly the silver fern in Arco! 🧗♂️🇳🇿
