Sylvester wants to raise funds to help vulnerable kittens like he was. Without being rescued by Feral Nation, Sylvester would have died.
Wellington
Sylvester came to Feral Nation, Easter 2019. He was so cold and so unwell that he was maybe 24 hours from death. Once he got the care he needed he perked right up but his eyes weren't good - my vets thought he'd be blind. With much TLC he continued to get stronger and his eyes improved - now he is partially sighted, he has plenty of sight to get around inside and outside like a normal kitty.
This kitten season has been particularly rough. There has been few of the usual healthy and robust kittens that grow to 1kg and get adopted without any illness. It's been emotionally and financially taxing... and there's been so much heartbreak. This last part of the season is when the sickest and most vulnerable will come though our doors... it's going to be very costly. Sylvester is so grateful for his life being saved that he wants to ensure there's enough funds to help vulnerable little kittens like he was.
I run Feral Nation, a non-profit cat rescue based in Roseneath, Wellington.
