Help Us Represent New Zealand at the World Stage

We are Haoyuan and Nathaniel from Wellington College. After months of designing, building, coding, testing, and practice, we recently became the first Wellington team EVER to become VEX IQ National Champions, earning the chance to represent New Zealand at the VEX Robotics World Championship from 28–30 April 2026 in the US.

2025 VEX IQ Nationals Experience: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri94k8_P-So

VEX IQ is more than building a robot. It challenges us to think like engineers by solving complex problems, working under pressure, and clearly communicating our ideas through design and documentation. Every piece of success came from teamwork, persistence, and passion.

Competing at Worlds means facing the best teams from around the globe and showcasing Wellingtonian's creativity and innovation on an international stage. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

However, attending Worlds involves significant costs, including travel, accommodation, and competition fees. As a student team, we rely on your support to make this possible.

By donating, you are supporting young people developing skills in engineering, problem-solving, and leadership. Every contribution helps bring us closer to representing New Zealand and Wellington at the world’s largest robotics competition.

Thank you for your support.

Another exciting update — the boys have now made their appearance on the World Championship stage!

It’s an incredibly proud moment seeing these young New Zealanders representing their country on such a global platform. The energy, atmosphere, and scale of the event are truly amazing.

We are so proud of them — not just for getting here, but for the teamwork, dedication, and courage they’ve shown along the way.

Go well, boys — have fun, enjoy every moment, and give it your best! 🇳🇿

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
