The Creevey Family of Whangaparaoa need our help!
Whangaparaoa, Auckland
Raewyn, Ben and their family (Andrew, Harry, Hazel and Sam) need our help. Raewyn has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is starting an aggressive treatment plan, meaning she has had to stop work as a Vet at Silverdale Vet Hospital at Animates. Unfortunately money can't solve everything, but it can go some way towards lessoning stress. Specifically it will help pay for unfunded natural treatments and also let Ben take some time off from Mal's Benchtops to help Raewyn. Many of us can probably afford to help without it hurting too much, and collectively we can make a difference to a bloody good family going through a hell of a rough time. Anyone who knows the family knows that they'd be the first to help others in need and the community, one small example being that Ben has been involved as a Trustee of Whangaparaoa Primary School, and then Whangaparaoa College (which all four kids attended), for over 10 years. This time they need our help. Please give what you can.
The Creevey's have been close friends since our kids met at the local primary school over 10 years ago.
Whatever funds are raised will be paid directly to the Creevey's to cover unfunded natural treatments, incidental costs, and allow Ben to take time off work to spend with the family.
Message from Raewyn 28 October 2021
Dear friends and whanau,
Yesterday was my second treatment day, so whilst at the hospital I was brave and read through our Givealittle page.
This was a big step for me as when life has been tough previously, I have just put on my big girl pants and soldiered through; coping has been my major strategy and accepting help from others has been a challenge.
However, the love and generosity from all of you who have made donations, plus those who have made us meals, baking, sent cards, beautiful flowers and messages of support is humbling and it is a wonderful feeling to have so much love pouring in.
Thank you to all of you who are not only supporting me but looking after my family- Ben, Andrew, Harry, Sam and Hazel. It is much appreciated as my diagnosis came as a massive shock to us all. I thought I was invincible and hopefully I am!
We are intending to use the money you have generously donated to give me some non-funded treatment options a bit later on.
With deep love and gratitude to you all.
Raewyn.
