Your small contribution will ensure some lifelong memories!

Te Atatu Peninsula, Auckland

We are no different to the many teams trying to make their way to the awesome Kiwi Rugby League Festival in Christchurch of August this year!

This push provides us some hope that we can get our biggest fans (our parents) to cheer us on in person for the occasion.

To our knowledge we believe we are the only representative of the mighty Te Atatu Roosters of West Auckland mini-mod to make this trip. Please help us make long life memories not only as a club but as whanau too. Thanking you all.

I am a first year manager of the team, and only want for many of our teams whanau to ensure that they have the opportunity of being able to cheer their boys no matter the challenging figure before us.

Te Atatu Roosters under 12s Blue win big at Christchurch festival 2022  17 October 2022

Kia Ora friends and whanau,

Just wanted to provide an update on how the event went. Massive gratitude and thank you to all who donated/supported the team on their journey to participate in the occasion. The funds raised served as kick starters for further fundraising efforts, deposits for accommodation, vehicle hire, food, everything the initial fundraiser was intended for.

During the Auckland regular season, wins was few and far in between with only 2 wins on the season. Heading to Christchurch was about participation and enjoyment of the game but more importantly forging life long memories together. Winning was not something we expected. At Christchurch we played 6 games, winning 4 and losing 2, with the 2 losses by a margin of 4 points. The thrill of winning 4 but potentially going undefeated was something of a high for the boys, it was a massive team effort, but certainly every individual player in the team went to another level, in terms of courage in defense, while unearthing talent in offense. We earned the respect of a number of teams that participated. A few of the major successes experienced,

Every player from the season travelled to Christchurch

6 games for 4 wins and 2 losses

Winners of 'most likes' Facebook challenge, $300 team gear prize

Team member Cyrus Ikimouga made team of the tournament

Thank you again everyone. Hope to call on you all again should we require assistance in forging more memories like the above.

Warm regards,

Te Atatu Roosters under 12s Blue
