Raising funds to support the desperately needed improvement of the New Zealand veterans support space
Nationwide
For the last three years we have been developing a series of programs and services intended to provide New Zealand veterans with the health and well-being support they urgently require. Support that is specifically designed for their needs, culture and language. Today we launch two of these programs.
The first, called the ‘No Duff Learning Centre’ (NDLC), is a web platform that delivers specialist knowledge and skills to support veterans, their whanau, and their medical providers when managing service related health and well being issues. It facilitates this through the provision of evidence based courses and presentations that address veteran health and well being issues that have been specifically designed for NZ veterans by NZ veterans. The NDLC is free to use for veterans and their whanau.
You can find the NDLC at ndlc.org.nz
The second program is the No Duff Veterans Health Clinic, the pilot of which launched in November 2022. Established in collaboration with a medical provider in the Manawatu, the clinic combines a range of medical disciplines to treat both mental and physical health issues. These services may be offered in face to face consultations and through telehealth. The aim of the clinic is to provide specialist care to veterans anywhere in New Zealand or the world.
No Duff is to provide immediate welfare support to members of the NZDF past and present, particularly veterans, in order to ensure that the mental, physical, and social health of all members is maintained at the highest possible level.
Funds raised will be used to improve and expand the veterans support programs we are offering.
