Our bunch of talented high school students have been selected to represent New Zealand and compete in the FIRST Global Challenge in October.

The Queenstown Robostormers | Wakatipu Pahoro Taniwha, love mechatronics and we support our young team members to develop and share their passion to become great engineering leaders of the future.
Our team have been invited to represent our country at the "Olympics" of robotics in Dubai from 24th to 27th October. The event is called FIRST Global Challenge and they have since received a box containing the equipment they are to use to create a robot that will be used to clear pollutants from an artificial ocean.
Being part of the FIRST Robotics programs has taught us wider lifelong career skills such as Gracious Professionalism, teamwork and diversity through the FIRST Core Values.
We call our team the Robostormers or Pahoro Taniwha. We have been competing in FIRST LEGO League for three years and our achievements include two second place Champions Awards in New Zealand and a Research Award with a trip to the Asia-Pacific Open Championships in Sydney earlier this year.
In spite of our remote location we have big aspirations and goals to punch well above our size. Ko ia kahore nei i rapu te kitea | One who does not seek will not find.
