    Dear supporters,

I wanted to share a quick update about my dad. He has now begun the rehabilitation process, but unfortunately, he hasn’t shown any response to it yet. We are holding on to hope and praying for even the smallest signs of progress.

Adding to the challenge, our city is currently a closed military zone. Movement is restricted, and access to basic necessities, especially medications, has become incredibly difficult. The few medicines that are available are extremely expensive, and many are simply out of reach.

Despite all this, we remain patient and steadfast. Your prayers, kind words, and support mean more than you know. Please keep my dad and us in your thoughts.

    With gratitude, Mai

Dad is still in ICU. Unfortunately, he had pulmonary embolism as well as the stroke. They are trying to treat both with caution. He can be alert for periods of time but his memory has been greatly affected. His right side doesn't move. Once they treat the above, they will start with rehabilitation.

Each night in ICU costs around $800NZD, not to mention the cost of scans and tests, so myself and my family are so very humbled and grateful for all the support so far.
