Helping my whanau in need while our little boy is in hospital fighting off meningitis.
Otaki, Wellington
Hey guys!
I appreciate anyone who is taking the time to read this and thank anyone able to help.
My twin sissy Char and brother Rhys had the scare of their lives this week when there youngest of four kids was rushed to Nelson hospital with meningitis and blood poisoning. The doctors dicussed a potential trip to starship hospital but instead he spent 24hours in ICU on a breathing tube where it was extremely touch and go.
Carver is only 6 but he is so strong and amazingly and thankfully he has pulled through the very worst of it.
It has been an extremely hard couple of days for the entire family as he fought for his life.
Carver remains in the children's ward in hospital and will be there atleast the next week, maybe more, as they continue to fight the meningitis in his body.
As a family of 6, any money donated would seriously help with any travel costs as mum and dad are back and fourth from the hospital and home organizing the other kids and their animals. Also food and any other little costs that will come with a very sick child.
Any amount you are willing to contribute will be so greatly appreciated by them and myself and we are truly grateful for any love and support at this time.
This Givealittle is set up for my twin sister and brother inlaw.
Money will be spent on travel costs and help towards food while they spend time in hospital over the next week and managing 3 other kids. Funds will be passed to my sister and Carver's mother Charlotte Parish
Finally some solid GOOD NEWS! 4 July 2023
Carver went through the entire weekend without any hiccups and on Monday received for the first time positive blood results and the best news!
It's crazy how quickly things can change.
On Friday we were terrified waiting on a brain MRI, praying a brain surgery was not on the table and that the spinal tap would show nothing else serious.
And on Monday his little body has shown real strength and clear results and is finally allowed to go home!
Obviously close monitoring and taking it very easy as he heals from his two surgeries last week but we are absolutely over the moon with this turn around.
We can't thank everyone enough for there support and generosity and LOVE. There will never be the right words to say just how much it all means!
You all played a huge part in getting us through this extremely tough couple of weeks! so seriously from the bottom of our hearts, THANKYOU 🥰
