Help this Kiwi band with it's Debut Album!
Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui
Stoker, a Manawatu-based band, has hatched a plan to help others struggling with mental health issues, grief, and challenging times. Their music serves as a healthy outlet for emotions, allowing listeners to vent and find relief without resorting to harmful actions or words. Abby Brown, the songwriter and singer of the band, believes that their songs can help maintain relationships and improve situations instead of escalating conflicts.
The band's music is described as original rock and roll, drawing inspiration from various sources, including Abby's belly dance, goth music, and flamenco. They have already recorded some songs as part of a NZ on Air funded Live to Air by Radio Control and Creative Sounds. However, they aspire to create a heavier and meatier album which is currently financially out of reach for them.
