🐾 Tilly’s Story — Help Us Give Her a Pain-Free Life

Tilly is a gentle, trusting 10-year-old girl who has had quite the adventure. She turned up around a set of rental units in Kawakawa — tenants were feeding her, she was supervising like a very polite stray, but she didn’t actually belong to anyone. It’s likely she was left behind by a previous tenant.

Despite everything, she’s the sweetest little muffin. Cuddly, gentle, and convinced every human she meets is her new best friend.

But Tilly has been struggling with some very painful teeth. At her vet check we discovered she has only five teeth left — and two of those are rotten. She needs dental surgery, likely 4–5 extractions, so she can finally eat without hurting (or trying to gum her way through dinner like a wee nana).

The amazing team at Top Vets have kindly subsidised part of her treatment, bringing her total cost down to $600 — much more manageable, but still a stretch for our small rescue during kitten season.
