We’ve made it to $60,000! It’s still hard to believe the kind generosity of all of you. It has meant so much to Tim & his family. Thanks also to our anonymous donor who helped with a 'Matched Giving' campaign - during that time, this generous donor doubled each donation.

As mentioned in our last update, Tim has booked a trip to the States, and we can’t wait for him to go! It was your support which allowed him to take this step. We still have a way to go, as the treatment in the States is more expensive, so we’re keeping up our efforts.

We all had great fun at the Shaun the Sheep movie fundraiser, which as you can see was sold out. $500 was also raised by the Kapiti housie ladies on the same day, which was really kind of them. We’ve got more events coming up soon.

We also had the great news that the Wellington Phoenix – the football team which Tim and Kylie have supported for many years - have offered to help. Among other things, on Sat 25 Oct at Hnry Stadium in Wellington, when both the women and men teams are playing, they’re going to put Tim’s Givealittle page up on their big screens, to help raise awareness of the fundraising. As if this whole fundraising thing hasn’t been enough of a weird experience for Tim, being up on the big screens will probably top it all off! Go Phoenix ⚽ 💛🖤

Thanks again for being Tim's support crew. Please share the link to this page with anyone who might be able to help,

  • Update from Tim

Tim and his family have asked me to pass on their heartfelt thanks for your incredible generosity. We really hadn’t anticipated this response, or reaching our goal so quickly. It has only been a week!

Your support has allowed him to make big progress – Tim is in the process of booking treatment in the States (subject to the review of his latest scans). He will explain more in an upcoming post but this treatment is going to cost close to NZ$100,000. For that reason, we have changed the goal to $75,000.

Tim's working on a longer update for his blog.

Thanks again for being Tim's support crew, please help us by continuing to share this with anyone you think might be able to help. Your continued support means so much. We will keep the updates coming.

    With deep gratitude,

    Tim's Island Bay fundraising team

  • An amazing 36 hours

As I'm writing this we've just received our 175th donation. It's been a crazy few hours since we launched this, and a busy time for my emails as you can see! Part of me knew this would happen as everyone loves Tim and Kylie, and they are always in the middle of the many communities they are a part of all around the world 🌏 But we genuinely had no idea it would go so well. So thank you everyone.

There have been a lot of tears at my house as the kind words and donations have been coming in. I know Tim is watching and reading everyone's comments, and is really astonished at your kindness, and he'll write something in a few days.

I wanted to say thank you in particular to all the wonderful Wellington High School kids who have been sharing with their friends on their What’s App groups and making their own donations. P and E and L really appreciate how much their friends care about them and their lovely dad xxx

🌻 Thanks again from all of us in the Island Bay fundraising crew - we're planning some events so we'll let you know soon x

P.S. Please fell free to circulate the link to this fundraiser - every bit helps.
