Help Tina Fight Lung Cancer
Wellington
Tina has recently received the devastating news of a Stage 2 adenocarcinoma lung cancer diagnosis. The dedicated clinical team at Wellington Hospital have recommended a combination of immunotherapy and chemotherapy (Cisplatin, Pemetrexed and Nivolumab) for 9 weeks, followed by surgery, as the best treatment plan.
While chemotherapy will be administered at Wellington Hospital, the immunotherapy drug, which has shown significant benefits in recent trials, is not funded for Stage 2 lung cancers by Pharmac. This results in a substantial treatment cost of $20,511 that Tina must cover during this challenging time.
Despite facing her diagnosis with remarkable determination, strength and resilience, Tina could use our support to help her regain her spark. By contributing to the funding of her immunotherapy treatment, we can alleviate a significant financial burden and support her in her fight against cancer.
Please don’t worry if you can’t help, just a positive thought her way is a gift in itself.
Tina is a great friend and colleague to many and is a giver who will spend time helping others. Now is the time to show our appreciation and support her when she needs it the most.
