Help to Get Paris to the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup Events In Europe

We at the Christchurch United Gymnastic Club would like to support our Senior Gymnast, Paris Chin, who has been selected to represent New Zealand at two 2022 World Cup events being held in Greece and Italy.

Paris Chin is currently a student at Burnside High School in Christchurch. Her passion for rhythmic gymnastics means that she chooses to spend the majority of her spare time training and preparing for future World Cup events.

At the age of 8 years old and after attending a birthday party at the local gymnastics club, Paris asked her parents if she could give gymnastics a try. She eagerly enrolled in a recreational artistic gymnastic class for 1 hour each week in 2012. It was found that she had natural flexibility and she found the recreational class relatively easy. In Term 4 of 2012, Paris decided to participate in the club trials to try to gain entry into the competitive stream of gymnastics. Due to her natural flexibility and experience in dance, Paris was placed in the competitive stream in rhythmic gymnastics, and so her sporting career began. From those early days, Paris has dedicated her spare time to training in the sport and along the way she has found her passion. Now as a Senior gymnast, Paris has been selected to represent New Zealand at two World Cup events in 2022.
