Boxing is a self funded sport. Troy has the chance to represent NZ on the world stage but first she must get herself there.
Nationwide
Troy Garton is a real fighter.
In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, when she stood proudly on the podium representing New Zealand, she’d not only just fought her opponent - she was also battling against a ruptured ACL ligament.
Punching through the pain to take Bronze in her class, Troy has since spent months recovering and she’s now picking up where she left off.
She has just won, for the second year in a row, the title of New Zealand National Champion in the 60kg Female Class. That means that Troy will be representing New Zealand at at the AIBA World Championships in India next month. But she needs your help to get there...
Boxing in this country is a self-funded sport, which means to wear the Silver Fern she needs you to get behind her. Every dollar you give will help get her closer to the World Champs.
She’s got the self-motivation, ambition, skills and power - with your support she will go all the way.
Thanks for being in her corner.
The funds will be used to cover airfares, accommodation and living costs. Any money left over will go towards paying off my most recent trip to the NZ Nationals in Christchurch.
