Help us cover dads funeral costs

We recently lost our Dad, and our whānau is still trying to process the grief while also dealing with the reality of everything that comes after.

During the tangihanga, koha was given by many people who came to support Dad and our whānau. We are deeply grateful for that aroha and support.

However, we want to be transparent, as Dad’s children, we did not receive that koha to help cover his funeral costs or ongoing expenses.

While some costs during the tangi were covered, there are still significant bills that remain, including the undertaker and ongoing responsibilities for his younger children.

This has been difficult for us, especially as we are now trying to support each other and ensure Dad’s kids are cared for moving forward.

We wouldn’t usually do this, but we are asking for support to help us cover these costs. If you are in a position to contribute, it would mean a lot to our whānau.

We also want to acknowledge and thank everyone who has already shown love, support, and generosity to our Dad. He was well loved, and that has been clear throughout this time.
