Nationwide
‘Annual 3’ is a contemporary take on the much-loved annuals of the past. This handsome, hardback book was commissioned, edited and published by award-winning writer Kate De Goldi and Susan Paris, editor of the School Journal. It’s a celebration of imagination and diversity, packed with inspired stories and ideas by some of New Zealand’s most legendary and up and coming Kiwi authors and illustrators.
The Fledge Trust’s mission is to deliver a copy of this great read into every full-primary and intermediate school affected by the catastrophic 2023 flooding. In 2023 heavy rains devastated parts of Auckland, and Cyclone Gabrielle caused widespread damage in the Hawke’s Bay/Te Tairawhiti region and across the North Island. Over 500 schools were affected, many losing their libraries.
The Fledge Trust needs a community of donors to help us purchase, package and deliver 500 copies of ‘Annual 3’ to all flood-affected schools. For every $49 donated, we will send a copy of ‘Annual 3’ addressed to the School Librarian.
Making a donation, big or small, towards one or more copies, will help build a life-long love of reading in young New Zealanders.

The Fledge Trust was established to help build a life-long love of reading in young New Zealanders, especially aged 8-13 years. Fledge was inspired by Kate De Goldi & Susan Paris who seek out, mentor, and publish new writers for young readers.
Funds will enable The Fledge Trust to purchase and send copies of 'Annual 3’ to flood-affected schools throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
