Help Us Establish Woodbury's First Community Hub

Woodbury doesn't have a place of its own - somewhere for wellbeing support, emergency preparedness, and everyday community life to actually happen. I'm about to change that, and I'd love your help to get there.

Thanks to an extraordinary local partnership, I've secured a mobile community studio unit at a fraction of its real cost - but it comes with a $30,000 deposit, and that's where you come in.

This isn't going to be one person's project. It's going to be Woodbury's - designed with input from local families, owned and run by the community it serves, and used for the things this settlement actually needs: wellness health checks, emergency-readiness training, fitness classes, a proper base for our Community Support Team, and a place for generations to connect.

Timaru District Council's own research found only half of residents in our district feel prepared for an emergency, and less than half had seen any emergency-readiness information in the past year. Woodbury can do better than that - together.
