Hi, my name is Toby Gualter and I am currently 17 years old. I am a local Tawa boy who has just completed my final year at Tawa College. Next year I am planning to attend Victoria University, study health science and psychology and pursue my running career.

Fifteen months ago I started running competitively, during this time I have competed for Tawa College, at both regional and national level for road running, cross country and track .

I have achieved many milestones in this short period, among these have been one national title for Wellington and many high placings individually.

I am currently ranked in the top juniors (under 20) in New Zealand and regionally. These results and placings have come from the hard work, rigid training and the support of my coach and family. I currently train 8 times a week and have become very good at managing my time, staying healthy, and completing my studies.

Recently I qualified to represent New Zealand at the World Cross Country Championships in Denmark on March 30th 2019. I was the only Wellington boy to qualify with two other juniors. New Zealand hasn't sent a junior team to the World Cross Country in 10 years. It would be an honour to represent the New Zealand (silver fern) next year in the sport I love and enjoy. This would help me grow as a runner and give me the opportunity to be among the best in the world.

As this is not funded I need to raise $6000 for accomodation and travel to enable me to represent New Zealand in Denmark. It would be much appreciated if you could support me in raising money to get to the world cross country in 2019.
