Help Vape-Free Kids NZ make youth vaping an election issue - our kids deserve better protection from nicotine addiction.
Nationwide
Tens of thousands of young New Zealanders are addicted to vapes. Some wake up in the middle of the night to vape, for some it’s their first thought in the morning. But the desire to quit is there for NZ’s youth: 60% of 14-15-year-old daily vapers tried to quit in the past year.
Vape-Free Kids NZ has been given the opportunity to do something about it, something bigger than anything we've done before. And we need your help to make it happen!
We can’t tell you exactly what we’re planning yet - it needs to stay under wraps until launch! But what we can say is that seriously talented people have come on board, and an extraordinary amount of professional expertise and resources have already been donated.
The idea is ready. The people are ready. The opportunity is there.
All we need now is a final funding boost to cover the remaining costs so we can pull the trigger.
But timing matters! We have a chance to get this issue in front of New Zealanders at a critical time. We need your help now to launch this ahead of the Election.
Vape-Free Kids NZ has always been powered by ordinary people who believe our kids deserve better. If enough of us get behind this, even small donations can add up to something incredibly powerful.
Please help us make this happen by donating now.
And please share this page with your friends, whānau, workplace - anyone who believes in protecting young people from nicotine addiction.
Let's get this issue in people's minds heading to the Election!
Thank you!

Hard materials and printing costs required to launch our campaign. (Remaining costs are being donated by partners working with us on the project).
A little update on our fundraising target. 5 October 2026
You may have noticed we’ve increased our Givealittle goal from $10,000 to $25,000, and we wanted to explain why rather than quietly move the goalposts.
When we launched, we deliberately set a conservative $10,000 target. We knew it was a big ask and genuinely had no idea how people would respond.
$25,000 has always been the amount we’re trying to raise towards the campaign’s external hard costs. That hasn’t increased and what your donations are funding hasn’t changed. We simply chose not to ask our community for the full amount at the outset.
As we’ve shared, an extraordinary amount of professional time, expertise and specialist work is being donated completely pro bono. None of the money raised will pay for that work. But there are unavoidable third-party costs involved in bringing the campaign to life, and those are what we’re fundraising for.
Givealittle also isn’t our only avenue. We’re actively pursuing other funding and support rather than expecting our community alone to carry the cost.
We started at $10,000 because $25,000 felt enormous, especially when we can’t yet reveal what we’re creating.
Then you surprised us.
Your incredible response has given us the confidence to aim for the full amount.
So we’re going for it: $25,000.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared and supported us. You’re helping us create something we genuinely believe will make people sit up and take notice of what’s happening to our kids.
