Fight Mhyro!
9 October 2021Mhyro’s heart rate and blood pressure are dipping down. He is now on continuous medications via drip to help his blood pressure to stabilize. On a lighter note, the nurse said he is opening his eyes. He is still in ICU.

Still in ICU no hopeful for a hospital transfer
8 October 2021Mhyro still in ICU and hasnt’t completely woken up yet. He made a good progress from not moving at all to moving his head and arms. We are hopeful for more neurological progress. And we believe he is getting there.
We went to the Department of health, kneeling to them to help us find a government hospital that has a ICU bed available. Because we can no longer sustain Mhyro’s daily medical bill. Specially with his tests.
Atleast if he is in Government hospital we will only have to focus on his medications. In saying that, it would mean we can fight fairly for him.

Daily blood gases
6 October 2021We are already depleted but laboratory request keeps on coming. Mhyro remains the same. He hasnt waken up 2 days after his brain surgery. We had issues with his kidney as he was not producing enough urine.
He can’t talk but we feel like he can hear us on the phone because his tears are fallings when we are talking to him. HE WANTED to fight so are we for him.

Dialysis
6 October 2021He hasnt woken up yet after his brain surgery. He has been given some heart medication because his heart rate was too low.
He was referred to a nephrologist because he wasnt producing enough urine. Nephrologist says he needed to have a dialysis. Another costly procedure. We just hope that we find a government hospital for him so we can have a fair fight for his life (as the cost of his healthcare will be cutdown) but all hospitals are full. We have no choice but to stay here.

4 October 2021Today we are struggling to proceed with his brain surgery because of lack of funds and theyve given us another things to pay the PPEs of the hospital staff.

HYDROCEPHALUS
4 October 2021We spoke with the neuro surgeon and he was suggesting to do a shunt on his brain. Pressure on his head was building up so that’s the reason why he became unrousable. Please help us with his journey.

Urgent Head injury
3 October 2021The ICU doctors said that he has aggressive meningitis and hydrocephalus. His brain is completely swollen. We were told to find a hospital to do the operation as the neurosurgeon in the current hospital where he is at said we cant afford his rate. I just said please proceed with the operation and we will find ways.

NEEDED an emergency surgery
3 October 2021We were given 24hrs by the hospital because Mhyro needed to have an urgent surgery. His brain is swelling so bad. They advised us that it has to be done somewhere because we cant afford their surgery. The 19 y/0 needs our help.

Still in Mechanical ventilator
3 October 2021Today, he is fully sedated. He is still on ventilator clinging for his life. Doctors havent updated us yet of his improvements. He will be receiving his IVIG today (expensive therapy). He will be going to have a brain scan today. All of theses things has to be paid first before the hospital will do it, that’s how it works there. Sometimes I just thought how lucky people in Canada, New Zealand etc. that covers all of the treatment. If my nephew was in those countries he will likely live and survive. But hey! Life must go on and will do everything for him even it would mean asking for help (no man is an island right? 😗) To all who donated: May God bless you!
